Flooring America & Flooring Canada Go Red For Women With The American Heart Association
Manchester, NH (March 9, 2006) – Flooring America and Flooring Canada are going red for women – in a new big way. The cooperative is pleased to announce a substantial commitment to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women (GRFW) program to combat heart disease in women.
“We could not be prouder or more excited by our partnership with the American Heart Association and our support for Go Red For Women,” said Deb Binder, Flooring America’s vice president of marketing. “As the number one killer of women in the US, heart disease touches all of our lives. We look forward to putting the combined power of our cooperative behind this extraordinarily important campaign to wipe out heart disease in women.”
The new partnership will include Go Red For Women events throughout North America, in addition to Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s current charitable promotions. During the month of August, member stores will hold a special Go Red For Women Red Tag sale with a percentage from the sale of designated products earmarked for the AHA’s national Go Red campaign.
Since its inception in February, 2004, Go Red For Women has grown from a grassroots campaign into a vital national movement to raise funds for fighting cardiovascular disease in women. Using the simple phrase, “Love Your Heart,” the Go Red For Women movement is mobilizing women, men, celebrities, healthcare providers, and politicians to embrace and elevate the cause of women and heart disease.

Now, for the first time, we’re pooling our energy and resources for a national cause.”
