Manchester, NH (July 19, 2007) - — With a strong focus on education and execution, Flooring America and Flooring Canada follow a year of momentum and strong membership growth by taking the co-op back to school at their “Learn It! Do It! Summer Jam” in Cincinnati, July 18-20.

The convention theme signals a strong push to execute the business basics and employ the full range of Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s innovative programs to attract new customers and grab market share during the industry’s temporary downturn.

“We’ve been attracting lots of new members, and we’re delighted with where we’re headed, but things are still a little soft out there for the industry,” said Flooring America President Vinnie Virga. “So we want to help the membership concentrate on the tried and true and be knowledgeable about every advantage and business tool they have at their disposal.”

Among the new tools that will debut at convention are a new line of ceramic tile from one of Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s signature brands called Design Distinctions, plus a new rebond cushion program called StarCushion. The new cushion program complement’s the group’s very successful introduction of a rubber cushion program last year named DreamWalk.

“Summer Jam” will also officially launch the group’s innovative Vision 2008 program to redesign stores throughout North America by introducing the first test store, Ed’s Flooring America, of Plaistow, NH. An ambitious new apprenticeship program for installers is also on the way, and one that will be the first of its kind in the industry featuring the full backing of the U.S. Department of Labor. And the group will again promote its ongoing partnership with the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement by holding a Casino Night fundraiser aboard the Belle of Cincinnati riverboat as part of the convention’s final night event.

“We have a host of new introductions that our members have been asking for and we know our customers will love,” said Flooring Canada President Jim Duff. “This should be a great couple days with a lot to learn, and plenty of fun.”
