Flooring America and Flooring Canada Launch New Brand Devoted To Style

Manchester, NH (March 7, 2007) — A new high-end brand focused on designer fashion and personal self-expression is coming to Flooring America and Flooring Canada showrooms this spring.

Called Design Distinctions, the exclusive, premier carpet line will debut at Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s winter convention March 8-10 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, and reach member stores by the middle of April. Fashion has a new name.

“We’re thrilled to unveil this new brand and we know our members and customers will love it,” said Debi Binder, Flooring America’s vice president for marketing. “It’s a fashion forward collection based on high style, creativity, and self expression, and will fit in perfectly with our family of signature brands.”

Leveraging the power of its marquee brands is a focus for Flooring America and Flooring Canada this year, as the cooperative drives its branding strategy to meet consumer demands in three key categories: value, performance and style.

“All of our consumer research shows floor shoppers concentrating on these three areas,” said Binder. “It may be one category exclusively or a combination or all three, so we’ve tailored our brands to meet these demands and expectations from our customers. And it’s great for our members because our marquee brands are essential for expanding long-term sales success.”

The Design Distinctions carpet line will include naturals and woven styles with select products carrying Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s top performance rating of five stars. This is the first step in an aggressive product line extension that will see the Design Distinctions brand added to other product categories later this year.
