| Flooring America Holds Nationwide Red Tag Sale To Benefit Go Red For Women
Manchester, NH (August 13, 2006) — As a proud new supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, Flooring America is making a substantial contribution to the fight against heart disease – the number one killer of women in the U.S.
This month, Flooring America stores coast-to-coast kicked off their first Red Tag Sale with a portion of the proceeds from designated Go Red For Women promotional products benefiting this vital national cause. Flooring America has pledged a minimum of $250,000 of support to Go Red during its three-year commitment.
“Heart disease touches all of our lives, and we are honored to be invited to add our voice and our nationwide reach to this extremely important effort,” said Deb Binder, Flooring America’s vice president of marketing. “We are extraordinarily proud of this alliance with the American Heart Association, and we want to encourage women everywhere to lead heart-healthy lives.”
Throughout the partnership, Flooring America will hold national Red Tag sales twice a year in addition to assisting with individual promotions at local stores. Members have already formed alliances with local AHA chapter to support local events such as the Heart Walk and the annual Heart Gala. Flooring America has also posted a special Go Red section to its Web site where visitors can sign up for a special heart health newsletter, receive a heart health check-up, read stories from Flooring America members about their own family experiences with heart disease, and join the movement.
Since its inception in February of 2004, Go Red For Women has grown from a grassroots campaign into a national movement to raise funds for fighting cardiovascular disease.
