Manchester, NH (August 25, 2005) — Flooring America and Flooring Canada keep their membership on top of the latest flooring fashions with trend-setting product introductions and contemporary updates to existing displays.

“By anticipating consumer demands, we’re introducing an exclusive fiber system for Flooring America/Flooring Canada, and restyling the look of hard surface displays,” said Randy McHolm, vice president of merchandising. “These product additions are key to helping our membership drive store traffic, increase profits, and overcome even their largest competitors.”

One of Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s most significant product launches ever is the introduction of Resista™, an Advanced Generation, Stain-Resistant polyester. With cutting-edge, stain-resistant technology, Resista™ “Repels Stains Like Water Off A Duck’s Back.” The collection includes 16, 3- and 4-star rated loop pile, precision cut/uncut, casual texture, and textured saxony styles that combine top quality performance and enhanced durability with a broad array of rich colors and silky softness. Resista™ Carpets feature a Full, 10-Year Non Pro-Rated Food And Beverage Stain Warranty, a No Questions Asked 60-Day Replacement Warranty, a Lifetime Installation Warranty, a 15-Year Limited Wear Warranty, and a 5-Year Limited Texture Retention Warranty. Resista™ Carpets will complement Downs Decade®, a proven premium collection of luxury carpets that offer a Full, Non Pro-Rated 10-Year “No Exclusions” Stain Protection Plan.

In addition, Flooring America and Flooring Canada continue to focus on the success of the Bedford Mills Hardwood Collection, an exclusive, upscale program. Bedford Mills Hardwood features 32 SKUs of wide width, hand-scraped, wire-brushed, exotic, and distressed looks. The collection includes both solid and engineered sample packages for greater installation versatility across markets.

With the growing popularity and wide range of hard surface products required for today’s market, Flooring America and Flooring Canada are adding to, and updating their Naturcor, Floor Trends, and Wood Trends displays. Naturcor, a collection of fiberglassencapsulated products, added additional products and two additional price points. “Naturcor is thicker than vinyl and allows for more installation options,” said Bill Snowdon, director of hard surface. “Customers have responded very well since Naturcor’s tremendously successful introduction just over a year ago.” Floor Trends received a fresh look with new, sophisticated, high-end laminate designs in a larger, more convenient sample format, proven to increase sales. Plus, the Wood Trends display was also updated with a total of 40 new wood products with both solid and engineered sample boards, featuring the best new styles of domestic and exotic species.
