Las Vegas, Nevada (February 22, 2006) Anticipation, excitement and high-energy sum up this year’s International Design Guild Summit and Luxury Car Drawing held at the Venetian during Surfaces 2006. The Jaguar Car Drawing culminates the conclusion of the week’s events for Guild members and provides each member with the chance to enjoy winning “Las Vegas Style”. Al and Barry Einheber, of National Floor Covering Company, located in Jenkintown, PA, were this year’s Jaguar winners. The pair was ecstatic when they were chosen over 100 other potentials in the drawing. When asked how they felt about the Jaguar the members replied, “This is absolutely fantastic and we’ve never won anything like this before! We really benefit by being members of the Guild whether we’re talking with other members or using tools such as the Premier Professional Program to enhance our business. Today’s win just pushes it over the top!”

Members of the International Design Guild attended their annual Summit the day prior to Surfaces and were eligible to win the vehicle by earning LUXE dollars through purchases made with key Partner Suppliers. LUXE dollars are just one of the many benefits members enjoy for their affiliation with the International Design Guild.

The four runners-up did not walk away empty handed either. Ben Baum of Dominion Rug Sales in Toronto, CA won $1,500, followed with a $1,000 cash prize awarded to Lisa Bennett of Associated Designer’s Showroom in Seattle, WA. Dale Miller and Charles Caudill of Austin Fine Floors, Austin TX, were awarded a $500 cash prize and for the 3rd year in a row, Lisa Nelson, of Carlson’s Fine Rugs & Floorcoverings in Geneva, IL won the final $500 cash prize.

Krista Eliason, newly appointed President of the Guild explained, “I couldn’t have been more pleased with this year’s Summit and Surfaces results. Our members are at the top of their game, their passion and enthusiasm for the group have never been stronger and what we are trying to accomplish is so solid that I believe that 2006-2007 will be defining years for this group.”

At the Summit, the Guild continued to deliver on the core initiatives for the group, which include a key focus on the decorative and versatile Louis A. Dabbieri Signature Collection. The group chose additional new exclusive products that will be added to the Dabbieri collection and continued their focus on the Premier Professional Loyalty Program, the launching of the beautiful Nuance brochure and provided additional tools and educational opportunities that will drive traffic into member showrooms and promote continuous growth in each member’s market. Ron Alleger of M. Austin Designer Floors in San Diego, CA put it simply, “We are the best in the luxury floor covering business and we are where everyone else wants to be!”.

At Summit, Guild Members chose exclusive patterns and color lines for the 2006 Dabbieri Collection, which includes beautifully produced wool and natural fiber decorative carpets. Members were also presented with the opportunity to move into the upper echelon of the fabric industry by partnering with key, handpicked fabric suppliers whose product would compliment the 2006 Dabbieri Collection. The Guild will host their next convention this summer in Denver, CO August 15th-17th. Strong member support and large amounts of positive feedback from this year’s Summit and Surfaces made it one of the most successful meetings ever. Given the initial results for 2006 membership shows great anticipation for a successful year.
