Design Guild Reports Significant Sales Increase
Manchester, NH—The International Design Guild’s
future is looking bright. Based on the first six months of the
2004 fiscal year, sales are up substantially. The Manchester,
NH based association of luxury floorcovering showroom owners
throughout the United States and Canada has realized a 22% sales
increase over the last year.
“At the current rate, we expect our sales to climb from
$300 million to over $360 million for this fiscal year,”
says International Design Guild Vice President, Krista Eliason.
The yearly growth is based on comparative same store results
from last year.
Part of the reason for the growth says Eliason, is the rebound
in the luxury market. The fact that the International Design-Guild
continues to target luxury showrooms only, is also a catalyst
for the resulting sales increase. According to Eliason, “We
are committed to recruiting only the finest luxury floorcovering
showrooms for membership. This includes showrooms that sell
exclusively to the trade and those who serve consumers.”
