| CCA Global Partners Positions to take Market Share By Maximizing Manangement Talent with Role Changes
$10.2 Billion in Aggregate Annual Sales and Ready to Grow
Manchester, NH (September 13, 2007) – Repositioning to aggressively take market share and maximize executive leadership talent, CCA Global Partners has plans to add divisions and is excited to capitalize on the momentum generated after an increase from $9.6 billion aggregate annual sales in 2005 to $10.2 billion in 2006. The addition of new divisions and strategically altering the roles of key executives within the CCA Global family will allow executives to think creatively and with fresh perspective to achieve the goal of acquiring more market share in the upcoming years.
CCA Global’s growth is exemplified in the creation of the new position, Chief Marketing Officer. Multi-talented and accomplished in the retail industry, Dean Marcarelli has a rich history in marketing and has held the title of Chief Marketing Officer at Levitz Furniture and Stephen’s Advertising, an advertising agency with national influence. Marcarelli will bring to the role of Chief Marketing Officer an esteemed record of accomplishments and experience as he oversees all marketing and sales management strategies for CCA Global Partners.
“Dean has one of the best marketing minds in the country,” says Howard Brodsky, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and co-Founder of CCA Global Partners. “I am excited to have him join CCA Global in this role.”
Charlie Dilks has been promoted to Chief Product Officer where he will oversee the product development and delivery processes for CCA’s entire floor covering divisions. Dilks has extensive experience in the floor covering arena and has spent his entire career in the industry. The role of Chief Product Officer requires a visionary approach to the future, historical knowledge of the industry, a global perspective, relationships that span retail, distribution and manufacturing, and an understanding of the unique mission of a buying cooperative. Former CCA Global Chief Product Officer, Jim Gould, is leaving to launch an independent industry consulting business, and CCA Global will be his first client.
“This is a fitting tribute to Charlie's long service to the company,” says Sandy Mishkin, President of CCA Global Partners. “He is a seasoned executive, and his new role as Chief Product Officer for CCA will allow him to apply his many years of experience and knowledge in a way that will benefit the entire company. These executive-level changes strengthen the company and position us to be much more responsive to our members’ needs and to market changes,” says Mishkin. “We are positioning to be more aggressive and reactive to the changes and dynamics of the market. These moves allow us to reinvent ourselves and keep our status as leaders across the industry.”
Eric Demaree, President of Stone Mountain/GCO/The Floor Trader, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Carpet One Floor & Home. Eric has an extensive and impressive background in the retail floor covering industry that will enable Carpet One Floor & Home to expand its role as an industry leader. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the strategic planning of the daily operations of Carpet One Floor & Home, a task at which Demaree will excel. Demaree will be relocating to Manchester, NH.
Mike Cherico will assume additional responsibilities as President of the outlet division, overseeing CCA Global’s Floor Trader, GCO Flooring Outlet, and Stone Mountain’s Flooring Outlet locations while continuing his role as President of Lighting One. Cherico’s leadership has helped Lighting One become the nation’s largest independent group of specialty lighting stores. Those same leadership skills will enable Cherico to position the outlet division as America’s premiere flooring outlets. In addition, Tony Greco has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Floor Trader, GCO Flooring Outlet, and Stone Mountain’s Flooring Outlet.
Eric Bernstein has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings. As CCA Global’s Vice President, National Programs, Bernstein was responsible for overseeing all national programs for CCA Global Partners. His skills will support ProSource in their goal of becoming the number one supplier of wholesale floor covering to trade professionals. Bill Wissler will take on the role of Vice President, National Programs for CCA Global Partners.
These executives offer the CCA Global family unmatched talent and skills. Strong companies succeed by integrating the capabilities of their leaders into daily operations. CCA Global’s executive team is diverse, energetic, and creative.
“Our executive team,” says Brodsky, “is extremely talented, and they are excited to pursue new opportunities. CCA Global has always taken a leadership role in the business world, and by maximizing the individual talents of each executive in our family, we will remain on the cutting-edge of the industry and will continue to thrive.”
CCA Global Partners’ formula for success—Innovation, Integration, Vision—has proven effective with over 88 consecutive quarters of profitability. This level of unprecedented and continued profitability has been possible due to CCA Global’s aggressive pursuit of opportunity through reinvention. This leadership plan will allow CCA Global Partners not only to survive in a competitive market but to thrive.
