Raises $120,000 to Support the FCIF Through Their 2nd Annual
Golf Tournament
ATLANTA, GA (October 7, 2004) - CCA Global Partners, a leader
in the retail and flooring industries, held their second annual
CCA Global Partners/FCIF Charity Golf Tournament last week at
the Evergreen Marriott Resort, located 25 miles from downtown
Atlanta.
CCA Global Partners Co-CEOs and Co-Chairmen Howard Brodsky
and Alan Greenberg started this tradition in 2003 to raise funds
for The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF), a philanthropic
organization dedicated to assisting floor covering industry
members in times of need.
Last year, over 150 flooring industry leaders attended the
tournament and CCA Global raised over $100,000 for the FCIF’s
endowment fund. Brodsky and Greenberg set the ambitious goal
of raising even more funds this year. With over 165 golfers
and guests, CCA Global was able to fulfill this goal, raising
$120,000 to support the FCIF.
“We had a wonderful turnout this year,” said Alan
Greenberg, Co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. “Our goal was
to make this year’s tournament even more successful than
last year’s and I think we definitely accomplished that
goal. We’re all pleased to be able to support this worthwhile
organization that is dedicated to helping our flooring industry
colleagues in times of need.”
Flooring industry leaders traveled from all over the United
States to play at the beautiful 18-hole golf course on September
30th and to enjoy the dinner and reception afterwards. They
were joined by CCA Global Co-CEOs Alan Greenberg and Howard
Brodsky and FCIF Chairman Larry Nagle.
“It was a very enjoyable day for a great cause,”
said Brodsky. “This event gave us an opportunity to enjoy
the company of our colleagues while supporting the FCIF’s
endowment fund. Alan and I hope to continue this tradition for
many years to come.”
The FCIF was created more than twenty years ago to focus industry
attention on the health, human service and welfare needs of
floor covering industry members in times of life-altering medical
hardships. Since its founding, the FCIF has distributed more
than $1.5 million in grants with compassion, confidentiality
and dignity. Beneficiaries include flooring retailers, installers,
retail salespeople, distributor personnel, mill employees, and
industry executives.
